Champions League 2025/26 Qualifiers – Play-Off Betting Tips

The final stage of this year’s Champions League Qualifiers begins tomorrow evening.

It is play-off time in the battle to reach the League Phase of Europe’s top-tier competition, and only seven teams will make the cut!

Ahead of the first matches on Tuesday, we take a look at the latest online sports betting odds to provide you with some tips for your midweek Champions League football bets.

Let’s begin…

*All odds are subject to change

Fenerbahce to beat Benfica @ 2.39

This is perhaps the standout tie of the round as two European powerhouses lock horns over two legs. Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce have home advantage in the first leg, something the Super Lig side will be desperate to capitalise on. Fenerbahce thrashed Feyenoord 5-2 in Istanbul to reach this stage, which was a real statement to Benfica. Of course, the Portuguese side beat Nice 4-0 on aggregate in the last round and are Champions League regulars. However, we are tipping them to leave the Turkish capital with their heads down – and in need of a big return leg performance in Lisbon!

Xherdan Shaqiri to score anytime for Basel vs FC Copenhagen @ 4.00

In case you were unaware, Shaqiri has been sensational since returning to Basel. In the 2024-25 Swiss Super League season, the former Liverpool forward scored 18 goals and registered 21 assists in just 34 appearances. This season, Shaqiri has continued to deliver for Basel, netting twice and tallying an assist in the first four league matches of 2025-26. Stopping him will be high on the list of priorities for FC Copenhagen, who thrashed Malmo 5-0 to reach this stage. Can they limit Shaqiri’s influence? Well, we are firmly answering ‘no’ to that question.

Bodo/Glimt to score over 2.5 goals vs Sturm Graz @ 2.55

Bodo/Glimt have been playing competitive football in Norway for quite some time now due to the difference in the timing of league seasons, so they should be fit and firing for this tie. Last season’s Europa League semi-finalists are on a fairly good run of form as well, winning five of their last six matches and scoring an eye-catching 21 goals in the process. Top of the table in Norway, Bodo/Glimt can inflict serious damage on the Austrian visitors, although Sturm Graz have won their first two away matches of the new season. This should be a thoroughly enjoyable tie!

Daizen Maeda to score anytime for Celtic vs Kairat Almaty @ 1.62

Celtic should cruise into the Champions League after being drawn against Kazakhstan’s Kairat Almaty. On paper, the gulf in quality between the two teams is evident for all to see, although nothing can be ruled out in the final round of qualifiers. That being said, we still fancy a convincing home win for the Scottish side on Wednesday evening, with Maeda at the forefront. The Japanese forward scored in the 4-1 win over Falkirk on the weekend and finished the last Scottish Premiership season with 16 goals to his name. Furthermore, he scored four times in nine Champions League appearances during the 2024-25 campaign!
