Champions League 2025/26 Qualifiers – Play-Off 2nd Leg Betting Tips

This week, we will learn the names of the final seven teams to qualify for the League Phase of the 2025/26 Champions League.

The play-off second legs start later on in the evening and conclude tomorrow, with several of the ties hanging in the balance.

Below, we have provided four online sports betting tips for the latest round of European qualifiers, complete with the latest odds to help with your football bets online.

Let’s begin…

*All odds are subject to change

FC Basel to beat FC Copenhagen @ 4.00

We start by backing an underdog. Last week’s first leg in Basel finished 1-1, so it is all to play for in the Danish capital. Xherdan Shaqiri and his Basel side have been afforded a full week of rest to prepare for this huge fixture, while Copenhagen returned to domestic duty on the weekend, drawing 1-1 at home vs OB in what was a fairly flat team performance. With that in mind, we think Basel have what it takes to spring a surprise in Copenhagen and make a triumphant return to the Champions League stage. Although, the Swiss team will need talisman Shaqiri – who scored from the penalty spot in the first leg – at the peak of his powers once again.

Sturm Graz vs Bodo/Glimt: Over 3.5 goals in the match @ 2.08

Bodo/Glimt’s spot in the League Phase is all but secured following a sensational 5-0 win in Norway last week. The 2024-25 Europa League semi-finalists are a team to be feared these days and the players will be relishing the trip to Austria, where they can finish the qualification job in style. Four of Bodo/Glimt’s last six matches across all competitions have seen over 3.5 goals scored in them, hence why we are looking to back this market. Sturm Graz’s need to attack from the first whistle to the last means this should be a very entertaining game, even if the overall outcome feels inevitable.

Celtic to beat Kairat Almaty @ 1.49

Celtic have left themselves a bit of a job to do. Most football fans predicted the Scottish champions would cruise to victory in Glasgow last week and eliminate any need for a tension-filled match in Kazakhstan. But the 0-0 draw in the first leg means this match is set up perfectly for the neutral, although Celtic are still the big favourites to progress to the League Phase. And Brendan Rodgers’ side should have more than enough about them to pick up a vital away victory, even after a long plane journey! Celtic beat Livingston 3-0 in a fairly convincing display last weekend, which should serve as ideal preparation for this second leg.

Kerem Akturkoglu to score anytime for Benfica vs Fenerbahce @ 2.87

A former Galatasaray player returning to haunt Fenerbahce on the European stage? It feels almost written in the stars. Akturkoglu is still looking to get off the mark this season, though his stats across the 2024-25 campaign were exceptional. The Turkish star finished with 11 goals and nine assists in league action, and also scored four goals in 12 Champions League games. Furthermore, he scored two goals and registered an assist in seven Super Lig matches vs Fenerbahce during his Galatasaray days, so he could prove to be a thorne in Jose Mourinho’s side throughout this contest in Lisbon.
