The 2025/26 Champions League semi-finals begin with a huge clash between holders Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
Tuesday night’s contest at the iconic Parc des Princes has goals written all over it, with many football fans believing that the eventual winner of the tournament will be the victor of this tie.
Interestingly, the two teams met in the League Phase, with Bayern winning 2-1 in Paris thanks to a Luis Diaz brace. The Colombian star was also sent off before half-time!

Both these teams flexed their footballing muscles in the quarter-finals.
Led by Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele, PSG thrashed Liverpool 4-0 on aggregate – their French superstar netting both goals in the 2-0 victory at Anfield.
Luis Enrique’s side has improved considerably as the season has progressed, with another Ligue 1 title almost secured following back-to-back 3-0 triumphs over Nantes and Angers.
But this is the competition the fans want to win, and retaining the Champions League trophy is a feat only Real Madrid have accomplished.
Speaking of Los Blancos, it was Vincent Kompany’s brilliant Bayern side who eliminated them in the quarters with a 6-4 aggregate win.
A 2-1 success in Madrid was followed by a 4-3 victory in Bavaria, with Harry Kane, Diaz and Michael Olise all on target.
The trio have been close to unstoppable this season – and are showing zero signs of slowing down any time soon.
Kane and Diaz scored in the 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen last Wednesday, which booked a spot in the DFB-Pokal finale, before Kane and Olise netted from off the bench on the weekend to help Bayern come from 3-0 down and beat Mainz 4-3.
Of course, Kompany’s men secured the Bundesliga title in the previous gameweek courtesy of a 4-2 home success vs Stuttgart – in which Kane also scored.
As such, they can join PSG in putting the bulk of their resources into this semi-final tie, which should be an absolute treat for the neutral!
