Champions League 2025/26 – Matchday 4 Betting Tips

The Champions League is back to brighten up your week.

And there are some sensational games to look forward to, including Liverpool vs Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain vs Bayern Munich.

Here are our sports betting online picks for Matchday 4 of the League Phase, all of them featuring the latest Champions League odds.

*All odds are subject to change

Liverpool vs Real Madrid: Player to score 2 or more goals – Kylian Mbappe @ 4.75

Defensively, Liverpool have not been at the races for much of the season, and were fairly lucky to keep a clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa last Saturday. And Mbappe is in ridiculous form for Real Madrid, netting another brace to help secure a 4-0 victory over Valencia on the weekend. The Frenchman has netted two or more goals in five matches across all competitions already this season, including twice in this competition vs Marseille and Kairat Almaty. So we are taking a calculated risk with this selection, as Liverpool’s high line should present lightning-quick Mbappe with plenty of scoring chances at Anfield.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Bayern Munich: Total goals – Over 3.5 @ 1.83

A sensational contest awaits us here, and we expect goals in Paris. Both sides were able to rest key players on the weekend, with neither Ousmane Dembele or Harry Kane starting against Nice and Bayer Leverkusen. So this has all the makings of an end-to-end classic, especially as both sides have a perfect record of 3/3 in the competition, meaning they can afford to take the handbrake off to a degree. PSG are the leading scorers with 13 goals following a 7-2 win at Bayer Leverkusen on Matchday 3, while Bayern are joint-second in that regard with 12. Oh, and five of the six games featuring these sides in 2025-26 saw over 3.5 goals scored, which makes this a great option for a combo bet.

Marseille to beat Atalanta @ 2.04

Marseille returned to winning ways on the weekend, beating Auxerre 1-0 away from home. It was a much-needed result for Roberto De Zerbi after three games without a victory, two of them 2-1 defeats vs Sporting Lisbon and Lens. Now it is about building momentum for OM, and Atalanta are not exactly a side in a rich vein of form. Ivan Juric’s side suffered a first Serie A loss of the campaign vs Udinese (1-0) on the weekend, and have won just one of the last eight across all competitions. Away from home Atalanta are yet to taste victory this season, and lost 4-0 at PSG on Matchday 1. With Mason Greenwood and Igor Paixao each catching the eye in the Champions League, we are backing Marseille to inflict another French thrashing on Atalanta.

Newcastle vs Athletic Bilbao: Anytime goalscorer – Anthony Gordon @ 2.60

In the Premier League, Gordon has looked a bit lost this season, failing to score or assist for Newcastle. But in the Champions League, the England international has looked a world beater, scoring four goals in three appearances. A brace at Union Saint-Gilloise came in between strikes vs Barcelona and Benfica, with European football perhaps better suited to Gordon’s dynamic playing style. Furthermore, Bilbao lost 4-1 at Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 3 and arrive in Newcastle on the back of consecutive La Liga losses to Getafe (0-1) and rivals Real Sociedad (3-2). So backing Gordon to shine again on the European stage may be a wise move.
