FC Koln vs Dortmund
Dortmund have hardly set the Bundesliga alight this season, but they have quietly established themselves as a frontrunner to challenge for the title. Four of their five wins have been 1-0, highlighting a slight change in philosophy in comparison to the free-scoring Dortmund teams we have seen over the years.
Their pursuit of league leaders Union Berlin continues on the road against Koln this Saturday. The hosts currently occupy mid-table, but they are underdogs in the football predictions as a result of their recent history in this fixture. Koln have won just once in their last 11 meetings with Dortmund, with the visitors favourites to pick up the points.

Strasbourg vs Rennes
Rennes have had an uninspired start to the Ligue 1 campaign after clinching fourth place last season. However, they have made themselves hard to beat and there are signs that they might be starting to turn things around. The travelling team are unbeaten in six in all competitions, including a tough outing against Turkish giants Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
When it comes to underwhelming starts to the season, Strasbourg claim the crown. After narrowly missing out on a spot in Europe last campaign, they now sit in the bottom three as the only team in the league not to have won a game thus far. Our football prediction is that they will avoid the drop, but Rennes should take three points comfortably.

Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid
Sevilla are yet another team you would not expect to see down at the bottom at this stage. After winning just once in six league games, they find themselves in 15th place, just a point above the relegation zone. Our football prediction is that Sevilla will not be in any real trouble, but the longer this form continues, the greater the chance they miss out on European football.
Atletico come into this game off the back of two successive defeats, but they have been more successful on the road this season. They have won two and drawn one in their three away games, conceding just once away from the Metropolitano. These are cracking odds for Atletico to rub salt into Sevilla wounds.

Empoli vs AC Milan
The late Saturday kick-off sees champions Milan travel to face 14th place Empoli. The hosts have the 18th best home record in the league heading into this tie and they have beaten Milan only once in the last 15 years.
Olivier Giroud is in fine form, netting four in his last five for club and country. Our football prediction is a solid away win, with the French striker finding his fifth goal of the campaign. Three points puts the visitors right back in contention at the top of the table, and we don’t think they’ll be missing out on that opportunity.
