Both of these nations strolled through the Group Stages with relative ease. France only dropped points in their third and final match, but they had already confirmed their spot in the quarter-finals and fielded a largely rotated side. Les Bleus cruised past Italy and dominated Belgium, scoring the joint third most goals in the competition.
The Netherlands were also comfortable, only finishing second on goal difference after a draw with world number two Sweden. They suffered a huge early blow losing star player Vivianne Miedma, but the Dutch forward’s return to the squad could be imminent.
