Seraing vs Antwerp
Defeat to Charleroi last weekend made it 8 defeats in 10 for Seraing, as they failed to get themselves on the scoresheet for the seventh time in that run. They are in real danger of facing a relegation play-off, and will need to turn things around quickly if they are to escape the drop. They face a visit from a strong Antwerp side who were on the end of their first defeat in 8 last time out against the league leaders. The loss reinforced St. Gilloise’s position as favourites for the title, and the visitors can’t afford to drop anymore points if they are to mount a late challenge for top spot.

Eupen vs Gent
After a strong start to the campaign, just one victory in their last 16 league games has seen Eupen being sucked into a relegation battle with the struggling Jupiler Pro League teams. They will host a Gent side full of confidence after their recent 2-1 win over Champions Club Brugge at the Jan Breydel Stadion. The visitors’ defensive record is bettered only by St. Gilloise this season, and a win could see them advance to within two points of a place in the top four. The return of Tarik Tissoudali from the AFCON is a huge boost to Gent’s chances of making the Championship Play-Offs, with the Moroccan proving his worth with the decisive goal against Club Brugge. Gent ended their winless run, whilst Eupen are still looking to halt theirs.
KV Mechelen vs Oostende
There is always plenty of action when these two Jupiler Pro League teams face off. The previous three meetings between these sides have resulted in 18 goals, with Mechelen picking up two wins and one ending all square. The hosts still have an outside chance of making the top four, and although Nikola Storm will be suspended for this game, Mechelen still have plenty of goals in Kerim Mrabti and Hugo Cuypers to punish this Oostende team. With the goals of Makhtar Gueye drying up, Oostende have failed to put together a good run of results. Of just three wins since November, Gueye has scored in two of them. When the Senegalese forward doesn’t score, Oostende don’t win, and they will need to find some other goalscoring outlets if they are to survive.
KV Mechelen win @ 1.95
Leuven vs Cercle Brugge
The form of Cercle Brugge has been one of the surprise packages of the second half of this campaign. Dino Hotic and Rabbi Matondo have led the charge, and St. Gilloise are the only team to have picked up more points in the last 10 games. For all of their attacking talent, Brugge have been much improved defensively and have conceded just 7 in their last 10 games. They will travel to face a Leuven side that have put some distance between themselves and the bottom two with some positive recent form. Despite an impressive win against Oostende last weekend, they will do well to stop the momentum of the visitors.
Cercle Brugge @ 2.55
Waregem vs Anderlecht
Anderlecht’s impressive undefeated run came to an end as they faced back-to-back losses against Cercle Brugge and St. Gilloise at the end of January, but they returned to winning ways last time out with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Eupen. Joshua Zirkzee starred once again, scoring twice and taking his tally to 12 in 24 for the season. The form of the Bayern loanee will be pivotal in ensuring Vincent Kompany’s side secure a place in the top four. With Waregem having one of the leakiest defences in the league and Anderlecht boasting the second most prolific attack, this game looks like it will only go one way.
Anderlecht @ 1.44
Genk vs St. Liege
Genk finally look like they have turned their performances and results around, but it may be too little too late. Although they have games in hand over Anderlecht, they are still a long way behind the 4th place side and there are three Jupiler Pro League teams ahead of them that will fancy their chances of breaching the top spots. Paul Onuachu looks to be back to somewhere around his best, and despite an injury-hampered campaign, the Nigerian has still netted 13 goals in 20 games, a fine return thus far in a disrupted season. The hosts will be favourites this weekend against a Liege team that have failed to get going this season, posing little threat going forward, whilst also failing to keep the ball out of their own net.
Genk win @ 2.00
St. Gilloise vs St. Truiden
Without a doubt the best and most consistent team in Belgium this season, St. Gilloise took another step towards claiming the title with a 2-0 win over second place Antwerp last weekend. The win extended their unbeaten run to 10 league games, as well as making it three clean sheets in a row and 5 in their last 6. At the other end of the pitch, Deniz Undav’s immense form in front of goal saw him earn a move to the Premier League in the January transfer window, as Brighton purchased the German for £6 million before loaning him straight back to St. Gilloise. Undav scored both goals in the reverse fixture between these two, and he’ll be confident in earning the league leaders yet another three points.
St. Gilloise win @ 1.64
Club Brugge vs Charleroi
Club Brugge’s hopes of retaining their title have taken a huge dent in the last couple of weeks, with the Champions having won just once in their last four league games. They have too often struggled to get over the line in games, and the re-emergence of Bas Dost as a key player has highlighted their struggles. They should have enough to pick up the points against this Charleroi side, but anything other than a win could well and truly put to bed any outside chance of closing the gap on St. Gilloise.
Club Brugge win @ 1.95
Beerschot VA vs Kortrijk
This meeting features two of the least formed Jupiler Pro League teams. Whilst Beerschot seem dead and buried, destined for relegation, three points this weekend could relight their hopes of survival. The visitors have probably done enough to avoid the battle at the bottom, but they come into this game on a run of 6 games without a win and three consecutive defeats. They are overly reliant on the goals and creative capacity of Faiz Selemanie, whilst the home side have struggled to get on the scoresheet full stop. It is must win for the hosts, and with nothing to lose, we think they will give this Kortrijk side a competitive game.
