DFB-Pokal 2025/26: Round of 16 Betting Tips

We are getting towards the latter stages of the DFB-Pokal.

Only 16 teams remain in the competition, and that total will be cut down to eight by the end of the week.

Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig are all in action, and here are our online sports betting picks for the last 16, all of them featuring the best bet on football odds.

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayer Leverkusen: Anytime goalscorer – Serhou Guirassy @ 1.73

This match comes just after a Bundesliga meeting between the pair. And it was Dortmund who claimed a precious 2-1 win at Leverkusen, though Guirassy was surprisingly not on the scoresheet. The Guinean striker is a force to be reckoned with in the final third, and it is rare he goes many matches without a goal. So we are backing him to land a decisive blow against Leverkusen this time around, especially as he has a fairly good record against them. In eight Bundesliga games vs Leverkusen, Guirassy has four goals.

Hamburg to beat Holsten Kiel @ 1.68

Bundesliga side Hamburg enter this fixture on the back of a huge 2-1 victory over Stuttgart, only their third in the top flight this season. So confidence levels will be high in the camp, and with home advantage once again here, Hamburg should be far too strong for a team currently languishing near the bottom of the second tier. Holsten Kiel are 13th in 2. Bundesliga, losing three of their last four matches. Their previous away fixture was a bit of a disaster as well, with FC Kaiserslautern thrashing them 4-1. So we are a tad surprised to see how good Hamburg’s odds are here, given their opponent’s form!

Union Berlin vs Bayern Munich: Anytime goalscorer – Nicolas Jackson @ 2.05

This match could be one in which Vincent Kompany opts to rest star striker Harry Kane, with fixtures coming thick and fast before the Christmas break. So Jackson may be handed a rare start, and the Senegalese forward has impressed when given a chance in Bayern’s jersey this term. Jackson has scored five goals in 464 minutes of action across all competitions, meaning he has found the back of the net every 92.8 minutes – which is a fine average. Union did hold Bayern to a 2-2 draw at home back at the start of November, but enter this rematch on the back of a 2-1 home loss to FC Heidenheim. Expect all-conquering Bayern to exact revenge for the aforementioned draw!

RB Leipzig to score over 2.5 goals vs FC Magdeburg @ 1.92

With no European commitments this season, Leipzig can place more importance on their progress in the DFB-Pokal. And the Bundesliga’s second-placed side have been handed a very kind draw, a home match vs FC Magdeburg, who are bottom of the second tier with only 10 points from 14 matches. Leipzig have won all five home matches in 2025-26 thus far, and if the hosts score early, it could be a very one-sided scoreline indeed.
