We are approaching the climax of the 2025 Formula 1 season, and things are getting tight at the top of the Drivers Championship.
After an impressive few weeks, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has barged his way back into the title fold with six races remaining.
Of course, it is still improbable that he will finish ahead of both Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, but if anyone can do it and pull off one of the great sporting comebacks, it is the Dutch driving sensation.
A victory in the USA for Verstappen this weekend would certainly keep the unlikely dream alive, which sets us up for yet another fantastic race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

United States Grand Prix Preview
The last GP in Singapore – which took place at the start of the month – was certainly an entertaining affair as Russell recorded his second win of the season, with Verstappen finishing 2nd.
McLaren pair Norris and Piastri were 3rd and 4th respectively, which was actually a huge improvement on Azerbaijan, when the pair finished outside the Top 6.
So the current top two will be looking for yet another one-two finish in Texas, something they have achieved on numerous occasions this season, which is why McLaren have already won the 2025 World Constructors’ Championship.
But Verstappen is the man to watch out for this weekend, with the Red Bull driver finishing in the Top 2 in each of the last four GPs, claiming precious wins in Azerbaijan and Italy.
This is also a race which Verstappen has enjoyed previous success in, having won in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc secured the victory last year, with Verstappen finishing 3rd ahead of Norris (4th) and Piastri (5th).

Russell, who is 4th in the Drivers Championship table, will be riding the crest of a wave ahead of this weekend’s race start. His victory in Singapore followed on from a second-place finish in Azerbaijan, a positive run of form which only makes the odds here stand out even more.
Top 6 finish – Kimi Antonelli @ 2.10
Russell’s team-mate at Mercedes, Antonelli, has finished in the Top 6 in three of the last four GPs, with the Italian GP seeing him finish 9th. Antonelli finished 5th in Singapore and even managed 4th in Azerbaijan, so we are a tad shocked at how good the odds are in this market!
