This week, the 16 teams to qualify for the knockout stage will be officially decided, though a few sides have already booked their slots with a game to spare.

But we will still be treated to plenty of footballing drama from the United States of America over the next few days, so read on some more sports betting online tips to assist with your midweek football bets.

Inter Miami to beat Palmeiras @ 5.20

Given the fact Inter Miami beat Porto 2-1 on Matchday 2, we are struggling to understand why they are at such long odds here – especially as the match is being played in Miami! A wonderful Lionel Messi free-kick secured the comeback win over Porto as the Argentine superstar rolled back the years. Can he produce similar heroics against a Palmeiras side yet to concede at the tournament? We reckon so! A draw would be enough for both teams to progress to the last 16, but we fancy the MLS outfit to feed off a home crowd and romp to another triumph.

Cole Palmer to score anytime for Chelsea vs Esperance Tunis @ 2.05

Palmer has had an indifferent time at Chelsea of late, with open-play goals hard to come by. The Englishman was virtually anonymous in the 3-1 loss to Flamengo, but we are still backing him to come good against Tunis. The Blues know a win against the Tunisian side will secure a place in the last 16 and when the team from West London are crying out for someone to stand up and be counted, Palmer usually delivers the goods. The fact he is Chelsea’s designated penalty taker only makes the odds here look even better.

Kenan Yildiz to score anytime for Juventus vs Manchester City @ 4.33

This is all set to be a fantastic match between two European giants, with top spot in Group G on the line. Juventus and Man City won their first two matches at a canter, scoring 17 goals between them. Turkish starlet Yildiz has netted three of Juve’s nine goals thus far and is showing signs that he could evolve into a world-class forward. With impressive form behind him, Yildiz can torment City’s defence and end their run of two consecutive clean sheets at the Club World Cup.

Inter Milan to beat River Plate @ 1.90

With one win and a draw apiece each heading into Matchday 3, this should be a cracking match between two of the world’s most famous football clubs. Inter showed guts to come from a goal down to beat Urawa Reds 2-1, a team River Plate defeated 3-1 on Matchday 1. So we would be shocked if the European side claim a convincing win here, particularly with the challenging hot weather conditions. But in the end, the higher player quality possessed by the Champions League finalists – namely Argentine star Lautaro Martinez – should see them over the line.
