Manchester United’s season rests on tonight’s quarter-final second leg against Lyon.
Lose and the final few matches of the campaign will mean absolutely nothing, while a victory would continue the quest for silverware and a place in the 2025-26 Champions League.
But Lyon will certainly not make things easy for Ruben Amorim and his players.

Manchester United vs Lyon Preview
The first leg in Lyon finished 2-2 after Joshua Zirkzee’s late header was cancelled out by Rayan Cherki’s stoppage-time equaliser.
Cherki capitalised on an awful error by United goalkeeper Andre Onana, a mistake which means it really is all to play for at Old Trafford.
The draw saw United remain unbeaten in the Europa League this season, an impressive record given their struggles in the Premier League.
Last Sunday’s 4-1 loss at Newcastle, a match in which Zirkzee picked up a hamstring injury, has left the Red Devils wallowing in 14th and with little to no hope of a top-half finish.
In stark contrast, Lyon are part of the battle to finish in the top three of Ligue 1 following their 3-1 victory at Auxerre on the weekend.
Interestingly, Lyon are the third-best performing away side in the French top flight this season, while their last Europa League trip saw them beat Romanian side FCSB 3-1 in the last 16.
Lyon are actually yet to lose away from home in Europe, claiming a 4-1 victory at Rangers in the League Phase, as well as another 4-1 win at Qarabag.
United will need captain Bruno Fernandes at the peak of his powers in order to gain control of proceedings, while Amorim’s struggling defence need to be on top of their game to keep out the likes of Cherki, Thiago Almada, Georges Mikautadze and ex-Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.
What a game we have in prospect!

Manchester United vs Lyon Betting Tips
Alejandro Garnacho to score anytime @ 3.40
This season has been far from the best for Garnacho, but the winger is always a threat and scored United’s goal in the defeat at Newcastle.
Georges Mikautadze to score anytime @ 3.27
Georgian striker Mikautadze has been one of the standout performers in this edition of the Europa League. With four goals and three assists in 10 matches, he is a player the Red Devils’ defence will have to keep an eye on.
Manchester United to win and both teams to score @ 3.08
When all is said and done, we expect United to progress to the semi-finals, with neither goalkeeper keeping a clean sheet.
