Jupiler Pro League: Outright Odds After Xmas

The tough Christmas period is over and it has taken its toll on the Pro League table. Things have tightened up drastically and the margins are finer than ever. The difficult Championship Playoff Round is coming around fast and teams must work if they want to take part.

No one can afford to slip up, as there are always two or three teams hot on their tail to fill the position left by any complacency. The same can be said for the relegation battle. If teams want to survive, starting the New Year strong is an essential step to ensure their safety. So without further ado, here is how things stand in terms of outright odds to win the Pro League in 2025.

Genk – 2.25

League leaders Genk have managed to maintain their place at the top despite the heavy Christmas calendar and look to be in a good position to go all the way. While their spot in the Playoff Round looks to be secured, they will have their hearts set on a top-of-the-table finish. After being somewhat of a surprise package, fans have been impressed with their slick, attacking football and will agree that they are deserved frontrunners at this stage.

Club Brugge – 2.25

Second-placed Club Brugge are given the same chances of success as the league leaders at this point in time. They are only one point behind and in magnificent form, not losing in over 10 top-flight matches. As Belgium’s Champions League representatives, their fixtures may get a little congested, affecting their ability to keep up. However, this has not troubled them historically and they will still be aiming for top spot.

Union Saint-Gilloise – 9.50

USG are definitely more of an outside shout to be crowned champions, however, we have seen in the past why they have title potential and are in this conversation for a reason. They sit currently in 5th, which if anything is a testament to their high ceiling and the quality they have in the squad. They are incredibly tough to beat and can take on anyone in the division. Their European run may affect energy levels domestically, but expect to see them near the top of the table as the season reaches its conclusion.

Royal Antwerp & Anderlecht – 21.00

While unlikely at this point due to the momentum of the top teams, these two are still firmly in the conversation and should not be ruled out. At 3rd and 4th in the league, Anderlecht and Antwerp will be determined to close ground on the leaders and cause an upset. The gap is 10 points wide currently, but a lot can change and consistency is key.
