After some Europa League action tonight and tomorrow, another bumper weekend of European football awaits as the top leagues continue to produce unmissable matches.
In the Premier League, champions Manchester City head to Newcastle after seeing their perfect start to the season come to an end last Sunday when title rivals Arsenal left the Etihad with a point.
All eyes will be on Manchester United 24 hours later when Erik ten Hag’s side welcome Tottenham to Old Trafford.
Elsewhere, Bayern Munich are in fine form under new boss Vincent Kompany as they bid to wrestle the Bundesliga crown back from Bayer Leverkusen.
The German giants collide at the Allianz Arena on Saturday in a game expected to produce fireworks.

Manchester City to beat Newcastle – 1.60
After winning their opening four games, City needed a last-gasp equaliser from John Stones to grab a share of the spoils against 10-man Arsenal. With Liverpool, Aston Villa and the Gunners breathing down their necks, Pep Guardiola’s men will be in no mood to leave Newcastle with anything less than maximum points.
Bayern Munich to beat Bayer Leverkusen – 1.73
Leverkusen marched to glory last season without losing a single game. In contrast, Bayern Munich lost eight times as they finished a whopping 18 points behind the champions. But this term, with Kompany in charge, there is renewed optimism in Munich after four wins from four. Leverkusen already find themselves three points behind their rivals and could well experience a second league defeat of the campaign on Saturday evening.
Torino to beat Lazio – 2.78
Torino have made a strong start and will be confident of picking up a fourth league win when Lazio visit the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. Paolo Vanoli’s men kicked off their Serie A campaign with a 2-2 draw at AC Milan before recording back-to-back wins over Atalanta and Venezia. A goalless home draw with Lecce slowed their momentum but a 3-2 win at Verona in their last outing will have raised hopes of seeing off a Lazio side with just seven points from their opening five games.
Manchester United to beat Tottenham – 2.30
Ten Hag and opposite number Ange Postecoglou find themselves under pressure going into this showdown at the Theatre of Dreams. Both sides have collected seven points from five games but home advantage may just be enough to swing the fixture in United’s favour. A win will be a welcome relief for Ten Hag and leave Postecoglou defending Tottenham’s approach once again.
Marseille to beat Strasbourg – 2.04
Marseille have made an encouraging start to the season and will be confident of picking up three points at Strasbourg. Under the management of former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi, the visitors have claimed 13 points from their opening five Ligue 1 games. In contrast, their hosts have just six on the board having registered one win, three draws and a defeat. The form book points to nothing other than an away win.
