Jupiler Pro League 2024-25 Preview

Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League is one of the first in Europe to return for the 2024-25 season and we cannot wait for things to get started.

The action gets underway on Friday, July 26 as defending champions Club Brugge host Mechelen.

Club Brugge, who collected their 19th top-flight title last season, may go into that match in a slightly subdued mood having lost 2-1 in last weekend’s Belgian Super Cup final to Union Saint-Gilloise.

Bet777 is here for all your Jupiler Pro League betting requirements. Read on as we take a look at the key odds heading into the new season.

Preview

The 122nd season of top-flight Belgium will once again see 16 teams compete for glory.

Beerschot and Dender EH are the two new sides in the division after earning promotion, with Eupen and RWD Molenbeek dropping out of the top flight.

Club Brugge are, of course, the team to beat given they are the defending champions and one of Belgium’s biggest clubs, although the rest of the best should fancy their chances in 2024-25.

Lest we forget, Club Brugge only finished fourth in the last 30-game regular season, with Royal Antwerp, Anderlecht and Union Saint-Gilloise all ahead of them.

Club Brugge have also lost Brazilian centre forward Igor Thiago to Premier League side Brentford and replacing his brilliance will not be easy.

However, they have already brought in Gustaf Nilsson this summer from rivals Union Saint-Gilloise, the impressive Swedish striker who bagged 16 league goals for Les Unionistes Union last season.

As always, there is going to be drama aplenty in the Jupiler Pro League regular season and those drama levels will only increase further when the division splits off into the play-off rounds next year.

So, let’s take a look at the key odds heading into the start of the new season…
