Union Berlin vs Leverkusen
This is one of the most important games of the Bundesliga season. Victory for Leverkusen would keep alive their top four chances, while a win for Union Berlin would leave them well in the hunt for the title. We’re siding with the hosts – they’ve not lost a league game at home all season. In fact, they have lost just once in 21 home games in all competitions.
Leverkusen are in incredible form but face the unenviable task of claiming points in Berlin. Not many have been successful at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei, and Union have all to play for as they continue their pursuit of the top two.
Union Berlin to win – 2.81
Roma vs AC Milan
This ought to be a cracking game for the neutrals. AC Milan and Roma are tied on 56 points, with the champions currently occupying fourth spot due to their superior goal difference. That could all change this weekend. Jose Mourinho’s Roma are fearless at Stadio Olimpico. Since the turn of the year, they have won 10 of their 13 home matches, keeping a clean sheet in every victory.
AC Milan have won just once in their last six away games as they prepare for the tough task of breaching this typical Mourinho defence. We think they’ll fall just short.
Roma to win – 2.69
Monaco vs Montpellier
Sunday’s midday kick-off sees Monaco continue their fight for Champions League football. They are five points adrift of the top three but still have an outside chance of claiming a place among the European elite. Wissam Ben Yedder is having yet another standout campaign and will likely be the difference in this one.
A string of good results lifted Montpellier away from relegation and they are now sat comfortably in mid-table. Without anything to play for, it’s difficult to see them causing an upset on the road.
Monaco to win – 1.49
Real Valladolid vs Atletico Madrid
Although they remain 16 points off the top, Atletico Madrid’s form has been something to behold. Diego Simeone’s side were unbeaten in 13 league games before a 1-0 defeat at Camp Nou last weekend. They are now 12 points clear in the top four and will fancy their chances of another three points against a relegation-threatened Valladolid.
The hosts have lost just once in six home games, but we expect that to change when Atletico roll into town.
