Lecce vs Napoli
Remarkably, Napoli were hammered 4-0 at home last weekend by AC Milan. That’s not a trend we expect to continue. The league leaders are still 16 points clear at the summit and we expect Lecce are the team that will suffer the consequences of Napoli’s defeat. Luciano Spalletti’s side will be looking to right their wrongs when they arrive in Lecce and should cruise to victory.
The hosts have lost five successive matches, failing to score in all five. It’s tough to see how they can compete with an attack consisting of Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Frankfurt
Xabi Alonso is doing a terrific job with Leverkusen and they have now won six games on the bounce. They are just seven points adrift of the top four and will be confident they can close that gap further when they face Frankfurt this weekend. A three-match winning streak at home culminated with a 2-1 victory over Bayern at the Bay Arena.
Frankfurt’s form has taken a drastic turn and they have been poor away from home the last couple of months. They have lost four of their previous five on the road and are without a win away from home in their last eight matches. They will do well to take anything from this in-form Leverkusen side.

Lorient vs Marseille
Mid-table Lorient have another tough assignment this weekend as they prepare to face a title-chasing Marseille. The hosts have won just once in their last five Ligue 1 games and will be huge underdogs on home soil.
Marseille boast the division’s best away record having picked up 35 points in 14 games. The visitors have won an impressive eight away games in a row in 2023, keeping five clean sheets along the way. The 34-yeard-old Alexis Sanchez is flourishing in the twilight of his career in France. He is Marseille’s top scorer with 16 goals in 35 games in all competitions and the Chilean has four goals in three games for club and country. He will be favourite to fire Marseille to another away win.
Marseille to win – 1.68
Rayo Vallecano vs Atletico Madrid
Outside of Barcelona and Real Madrid, Atletico have clearly been the best of the rest this season. Diego Simeone’s side are unbeaten in 11 La Liga matches and have won four in a row as they prepare to face Vallecano. As we have come to expect from Atletico, they have been very strong defensively – they have kept seven clean sheets in 10 league matches ahead of this weekend.
In contrast, Rayo Vallecano are winless in seven and are slowly drifting away from the European places and towards mid-table obscurity. We’d be shocked if they take anything from the visiting Atletico.
